When you start to think about what you want, it is imperative that you write it down. But write it down in pencil. As you get older, what you want changes. Even so, don’t let that keep you from writing down what you want now.
Remember, success is not a destination or a one-time event. It is an evolution and development.
As you begin the process of writing down your desires, you will find you have different desires for different areas of your life—some spiritual, some financial, some family-oriented, and some physical. You will want to make different lists for each of these categories and refer to them often. They will serve as great motivation to you as you work toward them.
Don’t let the fact that you don’t know how to achieve these desires prohibit you from writing them down. The purpose of this task is not to create the means to get you there, but to help you decide where “there” is.

Instead of waiting for your ship to come in, grab a hammer and build a boat.
Too many people live their lives based on the fairy-tale notion that their ship will one day arrive. As if the only question were when the ship would arrive, not if it would arrive at all, they wait, doing little or nothing but marking time their whole lives. But there is another alternative for the one who gets tired of waiting, and that option is to grab a hammer! That’s right. Instead of waiting for your ship to come in, grab a hammer and build a boat. Why not take a chance and start doing something? Why not start working on a plan to take you to your destination? If, by some miracle, your ship does somehow come in after you build your boat, then you will have both the ship and a boat. If your ship never arrives, then you have a boat and won’t get surprised by any unexpected floods.
The person who is determined to build his own boat has a completely different attitude. He goes and finds the money to start the business. He seeks to improve himself, believing that water seeks its own level, and realizes that if he wants a good life partner, he must first be a good prospective life partner. He realizes that job security is an illusion and the biggest rewards in life are not found sitting on the bench, but getting in the game.

Motivational Blog- A plan is only a road map. It is not the destination.
A written plan is there to guide you, to show you your progress, to let you know what elements of your strategy are working and which ones need to be modified.
Begin with where you are now and write down the steps you need to take you where you want to go. (If you are not sure what those are, then you will need to do some research.) Make the steps as small and detailed as possible so you have a clear idea of what tasks you must perform. Making the steps small also allows you to clearly mark your progress as you edge your way toward you dream.
The principle benefit of writing down your plan is that you are no longer attempting to achieve the impossible or chase a dream. Instead, you are checking off a to-do list that just happens to take you to success. Think of writing down your plan as the first step of transforming your nontangible idea into a tangible reality.

Motivational Blog- Visionaries always see their objective completed before it begins
Visionaries always see their objective completed before it begins. They envision their ideas so clearly that they can imagine the way the end- result looks, smells, and feels. Not only do they imagine the idea completed, but more important, they also imagine what reaching that goal will mean to them.
The real estate developer not only imagines the building completed; he sees himself enjoying the profits he will realize as the result of the project. A mother not only sees her children being obedient; she sees her children walking through life successfully. Not only do visionaries see what they want; they know why they want it. This causes the visionary to have a burning passion for his project. The visionary is consumed with possibility. So much so that, to him, it seems a small step from the possible to the probable. When others around him aren’t sure if it will work, he knows it will. When others falter, his step is sure.

Motivational Blog- The hazard of entitlement thinking
![]() |
| Motivational Poster- Entitlement Thinking |
Entitlement is having something handed to you, either through luck or charity. When you achieve something yourself, by using your own creativity and effort, you know that no one else gave it to you and therefore your sense of self-worth increases. Entitlement thinking weakens you and makes you its prisoner. Once you subjugate yourself to entitlement thinking, you become a prisoner of the fear of losing your meager benefits.
You are a slave who is afraid to leave your cruel master because you fear not having the means to support yourself if you were free. And that is the bargain you have made with yourself. You tell yourself you will wait for your break, for your share, for Lady Luck to smile upon you and give you your due. In return, you settle for the bondage that is a life of frustration, fear, and lack.
How do you escape the trap of entitlement thinking? By realizing and embracing one basic truth: No one owes you anything. If you are a grown adult, no one is responsible for taking care of you. Do you hear the voices in your mind rising to object? What if such and such is the case? But what about ... ? But in some cases ... ? You must firmly walk away from all such thinking if you are to be free. Entitlement does not give up its slaves willingly. It will be a fight, and the prize is your life.

Motivational Blog- Everyone has desire; few have persistence
![]() |
| Motivational Poster- Persistence |
Everyone has desire; few have persistence. In any given endeavor, much of your competition will be eliminated simply because they did not persist. How many people begin an excercise regimen only to abandon it after a few months? How many people begin to change their diet, learn a foreign language, or save some money, only to give up when it becomes difficult? How many people read a book, apply its principles for a few weeks, and slip back into the same, old, mental ruts? So, how does one develop persistence?
First, choose which efforts or actions are worth continuing. Is there a reward if you persist? There is no value or virtue in persisting in an action that will only bring harm. Who would do such a thing, you ask? How many people are, at this very moment, in destructive and dangerous relationships simply because they feel if they just wait a little longer, it will get better? How many people are in dead-end jobs because they believe it’s not right to quit a job? After you determine that persisting in an action is worth your effort, decide to continue. It’s that simple. When you eliminate the option of quitting, it makes persisting much easier.
Easier, but never easy. Sometimes persistence is a daily decision; sometimes it’s hourly. But it’s important to remember that persistence is a habit that can be learned. As you develop the trait of persistence, you will unlearn the tendency to quit and find it natural to continue.

Motivational Minute - You must master your emotions
![]() |
| Mastering Your Emotions - Motivational Poster |
There are countless people in this world who were born into horrible situations and yet are tremendous successes. There are many stories of people who have been born into slavery but won their freedom. There are those born into the physical slavery of a debilitating physical affliction but have overcome and fought their way to success against all odds. There are those who have been beaten, imprisoned, starved, and ridiculed, who have refused to be deterred from their mission.
Such people have achieved success by choosing not to let their circumstances limit them. Many of them will tell you that the hardship and suffering they experienced only made them stronger. They chose to abandon fairy-tale thinking and employ the Seven Powers, rather than accept the lot which life handed them.
