
The problem with such decisions is that they always produce consequences. When a person chooses poorly, they are, in effect, choosing the bad consequences that come bundled with their decision.
But, you ask, what if someone else made decisions that affected your destiny? To allow someone else to choose for you was a choice that you made. You found it easier to relinquish control than to accept responsibility for your own actions. Will you let them master your attitude, or will you choose in what manner you face them?
The one who doesn’t believe he has chosen his lot in life is not recognizing that his choices and their consequences are one and the same. To choose a path is to choose its destination. The traveler cannot grumble about the destination if he is responsible for choosing the path.
